Baptism
Baptism is the foundation for all future church participation and ministry. St. Paul's welcomes candidates of all ages. Please contact the church office for more information and to inquire about scheduling.
Baptism is normally celebrated in the course of the Sunday service, not as a private family event. Baptism is especially appropriate at the Easter Vigil, the Day of Pentecost, All Saint’s Day or the Sunday following, and the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (the First Sunday after the Epiphany). In the case of children, parents and sponsors must be baptized Christians and committed to membership in a church. Parents are expected to be active members and commit themselves to raise the child in the Christian life.
Confirmation
Rooted in the baptismal covenant, confirmation is the sacramental rite in which candidates express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by the Bishop. St. Paul's offers confirmation preparation classes to both teenagers and adults. Contact our church office for more information.
