For Our Young People
Sunday School
While young people are always welcome to take part in Sunday services, we offer personalized care in our Sunday School program that meets at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday morning during the school year. Children should come first into Church for a special children's blessing, and then go to the Sunday School room for Bible story time.
Many of our children have been prepared to receive Holy Communion. This is done jointly by the priest and parents and is usually a response to the child’s own request to be allowed to receive.
Child Care
Child care is available at the 10:00 a.m. service for the younger children.
Christmas Pageant
Each Christmas Eve, St. Paul's invites our young people to celebrate the Christmas story at our early Christmas Eve service: transforming into an adorable assembly of shepherds, sheep, angels, and magi. No experience is necessary and all costumes are provided.
Baptism & Confirmation
Young people of all ages are welcomed to be baptized at St. Paul's. All baptized children are welcome to receive communion as baptism is full initiation into the Body of Christ. In the Episcopal Church, those baptized at an early age are invited to make a mature public affirmation of their faith at a later age through confirmation. Children in their early to mid-teens are subsequently prepared for Confirmation by attending a class that meets weekly, as needed.
